What is foil stamping?

Foil stamping is a decorative finishing technique that uses heat and pressure to transfer metallic or coloured foil onto your business card. This method creates a durable, high-contrast surface that stands out against matte or soft-touch laminations. You can apply the foil to create either a flat finish or a raised, embossed effect, depending on the die used. Because the foil bonds physically to the paper, it offers a premium tactile and visual quality that standard CMYK inks cannot replicate. This process is particularly effective for highlighting logos or key text, adding a touch of luxury to your stationery design.
