What resolution should a business card be?

You should set your business card artwork to 300 DPI. This standard resolution ensures that text and graphics appear crisp and clear when printed on physical stock. If you design in a vector program, the file will scale perfectly, but any raster images must be embedded at this density. For a standard 3.5 × 2 inch card, this translates to a canvas size of 1050 × 600 pixels. Lower resolutions, such as 72 or 96 DPI, are intended for screens and will result in blurry, pixelated output in the final print.
