How to use

  1. Pick a standard size, or type a custom trim width and height in mm.
  2. Set the bleed (1.5 mm is common).
  3. Click Calculate to get the artwork size and the pixel dimensions at 300 and 600 DPI.

Pixels are calculated from the artwork (bleed) size, because that is the size your file should be.

FAQ

What size is a business card in Malaysia?

The Malaysian standard is 89 × 54 mm (about 3.5 × 2.13 in) — some printers quote 90 × 54 mm.

What resolution should a business card be?

Supply artwork at 300 DPI at final size. Design at the artwork size (trim + bleed) — for an 89 × 54 mm card with 1.5 mm bleed that is 92 × 57 mm ≈ 1087 × 673 px.

Why is the pixel size based on the bleed?

Because your file is set up larger than the finished card — trim plus bleed. If you design at the trim size only, you cannot add bleed later without resampling. So the useful pixel target is the artwork (bleed) size.
