What is a safe area in printing?
The safe area is the inner margin where you keep all critical text and logos to ensure they are never cut off during trimming. You should position important elements at least 3 mm inside the final trim line on all sides. This buffer accounts for minor mechanical shifts that occur during the cutting process. While bleed extends beyond the trim to prevent white slivers, the safe area protects your primary information from accidental removal. Adhering to this standard ensures your design remains intact and professional regardless of slight variances in the physical cutting.
