How thick is a business card?
A standard business card is typically 0.30 mm to 0.57 mm thick, depending on the stock. Coated art card measures about 0.30–0.33 mm at 250 gsm, 0.38–0.40 mm at 310 gsm, 0.44–0.47 mm at 360 gsm and 0.54–0.57 mm at 400 gsm; duplexed (mounted) cards run thicker still. Thickness is not the same as weight (GSM) — mill density changes how thick a given weight is, so a denser 300 gsm card can measure thinner than a bulkier 310 gsm from another mill. Check your own stock with a caliper, or the 10-card stack method.
