FAQ

Is the recommendation a rule?

No — it is guidance based on common practice. Your printer’s swatch book and a proof are the final word.

Why does a bright gloss point to white Art Card?

Gloss is applied to a coated white stock to make colours pop. A dark stock (like Classic Black) does not give the “bright” look — gloss on black is rarely what people mean by bright.

When would I choose Classic Black?

When you want a dark, premium surface — usually with matt lamination, foil, a blind deboss, or white ink, rather than a bright gloss.
